In the world of blockchain and cryptocurrency, MetaMask has become one of the most popular wallets for storing, sending, and receiving tokens. It is widely used for connecting with decentralized applications (dApps), DeFi platforms, and NFT marketplaces. By default, MetaMask supports the Ethereum Mainnet, but you can also add custom networks such as Binance Smart Chain (BSC), Polygon, Avalanche, and Core Network.

If you want to explore the Core DAO blockchain or interact with dApps built on Core, you must first add the Core Network to your MetaMask wallet. In this guide, I will walk you through everything you need to know about Core Network and how to add it step by step.

What is Core Network?

The Core Network (often known as Core DAO) is a blockchain that runs on the Satoshi Plus consensus mechanism, combining Bitcoin’s Proof of Work (PoW) with Ethereum’s Delegated Proof of Stake (DPoS). This hybrid model offers:

Higher security

Better scalability

Lower transaction fees

Core is becoming increasingly popular because it bridges the best features of Bitcoin and Ethereum, while also being compatible with the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM). This means you can use it easily on MetaMask just like you use other EVM-compatible networks.

Why Add Core Network to MetaMask?

Here are a few reasons why you should add Core to your MetaMask wallet:

1. Access Core dApps – Many decentralized applications run on Core blockchain, and you need MetaMask to connect.

2. Low Fees – Transactions on Core are cheaper compared to Ethereum.

3. Cross-Chain Compatibility – Since Core is EVM-compatible, you can use Ethereum-based tools, smart contracts, and tokens easily.

4. Earn Rewards – Core supports staking and DeFi opportunities.

5. NFT Marketplace – You can also explore NFT projects on Core with MetaMask.

How to Add Core Network in MetaMask Wallet

There are two simple methods to add the Core Network:

Method 1: Add Core Network Manually

Step 1 : Open Wallet and Click on top where you can see network click on it

add core network

Step 2 : Now you need to add new network Then click on add network  you will see list of some networks

core network

If You want to add one of then then just click on Add button so it will add if you want to add new token Then click on Custom Token

Step 3 :  You will see form now you need to fill it with carefully all detail all networks have not same detail if you want to add core network then you can put this information and fill it

When you will fill it then click on save and go back you will see your new core network will add with your metamask Wallet and if you have Core tokens then your token will show in your balance

Method 2: Add Core Network Using Chainlist

Chainlist.org is a trusted platform that allows you to automatically add verified blockchain networks to your MetaMask.

Steps:

1. Visit chainlist.org.

2. Search for Core DAO.

3. Click on Connect Wallet.

4. Approve the MetaMask pop-up.

5. Click Add Network.

That’s it – MetaMask will automatically configure the Core Network for you.

How to Get CORE Tokens in MetaMask

Once the Core Network is added, you can start using it by transferring CORE tokens into your wallet. Here’s how:

1. Copy your Core Wallet Address from MetaMask.

2. Buy CORE tokens from a supported exchange (like OKX, Huobi, or Gate.io).

3. Withdraw them to your MetaMask Core address.

4. You’ll now see CORE tokens in your MetaMask wallet.

Common Issues and Fixes

1. CORE not showing in wallet – If your balance doesn’t show, try refreshing MetaMask or re-adding the token manually.

2. Transaction stuck – Adjust the gas fee settings and re-submit the transaction.

3. Wrong network added – Double-check the RPC details to ensure they match official Core DAO info.

Security Tips for Using Core Network on MetaMask

1. Always double-check RPC URLs from official sources.

2. Never share your seed phrase with anyone.

3. Avoid connecting MetaMask with unknown or suspicious dApps.

4. Keep your MetaMask updated to the latest version.

Conclusion

Adding the Core Network to MetaMask is a simple but important step if you want to explore the Core DAO ecosystem. Whether you’re planning to trade tokens, stake CORE, or use decentralized apps, having Core Network integrated into MetaMask makes everything smooth and accessible.

By following the above step-by-step guide, you can easily add Core manually or with Chainlist in just a few clicks. Start exploring Core today and take advantage of its fast, secure, and low-cost blockchain features!
